IGNOU TEE Exam Hall Rules and Answer Sheet Instructions
Examinees appearing for IGNOU Term End Examinations must adhere strictly to answer sheet writing instructions. Enrolment numbers and exam centre codes must be recorded with extreme care. If an examinee has a 9-digit enrolment number instead of a 10-digit number, a cross (X) must be marked in the last bracket. Students must not add a zero at the beginning to make it 10 digits.
Candidates are permitted to appear only at the examination centre designated on their hall ticket, accessible through portals such as the IGNOU Dec TEE Hall Ticket Portal. No supplementary answer sheets will be provided; students must write on every line of the main answer sheet and leave no blank pages.
Before handing over the answer script to the invigilator, candidates must ensure that their own signature, the invigilator’s signature, and the exam centre stamp are correctly affixed. Additionally, candidates must sign the attendance sheet in the exact column opposite their name and enrolment number, failing which they will be marked absent.
- Mobile phones, Bluetooth earphones, and electronic gadgets of any kind are strictly prohibited inside the exam campus.
- Digital or smart watches, traditional watches, bags, handbags, papers, books, and calculators (unless specified in the question paper) are barred.
- Correction markers and white fluid are strictly forbidden.
- No arrangements are provided at examination centres to store banned items; any loss remains the sole responsibility of the candidate.
- Possession of unauthorized material or copying will result in registration of police and Unfair Means (U.F.M.) cases.

Examination Fees and ABC ID Requirement
For students admitted from the January 2023 admission cycle onwards, IGNOU charges prescribed fees for theory, practical, and project components during exam form submission. Theory courses are charged at ₹200 per course. Practical and project components are charged at ₹300 per course for up to 4 credits and ₹500 per course for subjects above 4 credits.
Creation of an Academic Bank of Credits (ABC) ID has been made mandatory by the Government of India when submitting the TEE form. Failure to create an ABC ID will prevent grades and marks from reflecting on the ABC portal and DigiLocker, potentially affecting timely result declaration.
